SCMP: China’s cash and American troops are inspiring fine balancing act from US allies in East Asia

IEMS’ David Zweig wrote an article published in the SCMP about the three corners of a triangular that USA, China, and their military and economic allies represent. Professor named Australia, South Korea, and the Philippines as main countries that have to balance between USA and China. The main reason is that these countries have their national security backed by USA and their economy supported by economic agreements with China.
Despite all these facts, positions of countries within the triangle move with leadership changes. Political leaders in Australia, South Korea and the Philippines greatly affect countries’ relationships with the two world powers.
